| Electrics. Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4700, a P-5 (2-C-2) built in Juniata-Westinghouse as number "7898" in July of 1931, rated at 3,750 horsepower, renumbered "4700" in September of 1933, retired in April of 1965, and presently on display at the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood, Missouri. This is the very first P-5 electric locomotive. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded. (Gift from Brad Mann.) |
