Electrics. Here is a photo that was taken near Chase, Maryland, c. 1967. Shown here (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4464 and another "Brick" whose road number is not recorded. Both are E-44 (C-C) electrics built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4464 was constructed in June of 1963 and was the penultimate member of its Class. Wave to the Fireman! Electrics. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4805, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built by General Electric in June of 1935, rated at 4,620 horsepower, and retired in July of 1968 after 33 years of faithful service. Electrics. Here is a photo via Bob Lorenz that was taken near West Fairview, Pennsylvania, in 1967. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #4828 and #4800. Both are GG-1 (2-C-C-2) electrics rated at 4,620 horsepower each. #4828 was constructed in Juniata during June of 1935. #4800 was built by General Electric as number "4899" during August of 1934, renumbered "4800" in November of 1934, and presently on display at the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania in Strasburg. Electrics. Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4859, a GG-1 (2-C-C-2) built in Juniata during December of 1937 and rated at 4,620 horsepower. In this context, it's just departed Washington's Union Station with "The Keystone," and is passing Ivy City Yard on its way to Baltimore and points North. Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4700, a P-5 (2-C-2) built in Juniata-Westinghouse as number "7898" in July of 1931, rated at 3,750 horsepower, renumbered "4700" in September of 1933, retired in April of 1965, and presently on display at the National Museum of Transportation in Kirkwood, Missouri.
