Title:  BRW 752
Description:  When arriving for volunteer MOW work, one can never predict what the days transportation will be; today it was a February, 1956 graduate of LaGrange, Ill, originally built for the Northern Pacific. A very smooth runner, I must say.....

Description:  The crew thought it best to park our 'ride' a ways back, in preparation for a badly leaning 75 foot tree that had to come down. Hurricane Sandy was not kind to this line, but the exhaustive efforts of the BDRR staff & volunteers have ensured that the upcoming season will operate safely, and on schedule

Future BDRR shop area
Title:  Future BDRR shop area
Description:  In the PRR days, this warehouse was served by rail; 6 months ago, you could hardly see the building for all of the trees. The hard working Bel-Del volunteers have done a great job of clearing the land around what will become the main shop of the railroad. If one listened closely on this day, the wood chipper could be heard screaming for mercy at times...

BDRR MOW crew
Title:  BDRR MOW crew
Description:  I don't think anyone on the Belvidere & Delaware River thought that it would take this long to get to Milford; a terrible winter season kept work crews at bay, with the snow & ice just melting away in the past 2 weeks. It could have been worse, some flangeway clearing and a dozen or so trees across the row to clear, and the crew is ready for lunch. The rusty rails tell the whole story.....

Description:  And......that's a wrap, folks. Few people realize how much work it is to lay rail. A small rolling gantry crane makes all the difference in the world, sliding each 1700 lbs of stick rail into place without major effort. Track 2 is complete, Track 3 alongside the building is a year or two off. NYS&W 142 (to the right) is coming along nicely with her 15 year inspection/overhaul, and the crates to the immediate right contain new tubing to be installed over the coming months.
