March 1966. General Electric built these E-44 units in the early 1960's. Photo by Warren Thamsen." In the foreground (L to R) are PRR engines #4432 and #4464; in the background is #4413. All are E-44's (C-C) built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4432 was built in March of 1962, #4464 was constructed in June of 1963, while #4413 was produced in May of 1961. |
