Shown here is PRR engine #8627, an AS-18M built by the American Locomotive Company in 1957 and rated at 1,800 horsepower. It is pulling a 24-car mixed-cargo freight train on the Bedford Secondary Track. The train has stopped for the moment, and the fireman is calling WYE Tower to secure permission to pass through HOLLY Block on its way to the Altoona Yards. The caboose is number 477746. |

It is pulling a 13-car mixed-cargo freight train over the Bedford Street Crossing and will skirt the Hollidaysburg Yards on its way to Bedford, Pennsylvania, and points South. The cabin car is #477746. |
