Robert Anderson General Rare shot. This all went under water in 1965. After they decided not to replace the center siding there. Unique is the rods there controlled the west end of the center siding and down towards Burns on the east end,was part of the CTC lever panel in St.Croix Tower. I say CTC lever panel as we called them "the lunch pails". They looked like lunch pails all lined up in a row with the left/right handles on the ends. They were one of the first CTC installations in the country. Said 1927 on diagram. NYC had one just earlier in 1927. 3/3/2018 6:41:03 PM
Robert Anderson General Supplimental to Burns,MN shot to east. As stated, note rods under platform to west end of then center siding from St.Croix Tower. Also note the wheel stops of the Hastings team track spur. Station #00408. Set outs EB only. See good shot by Carl at Northamericaninterlockings.com of ST.Croix Tower,MN 1978 with no depot but a box car set out here. While there look at track diagrams in tower of the plant. Shows spur and center siding here taped over after flood. The Official Guide Mar 1964 page 979 shows 13 Hastings in US states. CBQ was in 3,this one MN,IA and of cousre NE. A little long winded here ,but hope it will help anyone researching this sort of thing. Thanks for covering this Marty. 8/2/2018 1:49:22 AM
