The first ten 4-6-0 ten wheeler class B-8 were built by the Baltimore & Ohio Mount Clare Shops in 1891, including #1352. Baldwin built 50 more to add to the class. No exact retirement date was found but the entire class was gone by the 1940's. Original specs - 60" drivers, modest 170 psi boiler pressure, 20x26" cylinders, modest engine wt of 140,825 lb and modest tractive effort of 25,047 lb. This is an Arthur B. Johnson photo. |
