PRR 5338, K-4S, c. 1947
Here is a photo of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5338, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1918, streamlined in 1941, and retired in October of 1955 after 37 years of faithful service. Note the freezing Fireman on the tender's deck, replenishing the reservoir. "Fill 'er up, Mack!" The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.
