Caltrain 926
MP36 926 shoves a northbound 500 train out of Diridon. The exhaust of the 16 cylinder EMD 645 engine distorts the view of the overhead catenary converging at the throat tracks. At the north end of the station, Southern Pacific-style "tri-lights" guard the control point. The tri-lights would be gone just weeks later, part of Caltrains modernization plan. This plan will also see the MP36s bumped from mainline service, relegated to services to and from Gilroy.
