Built by Alco-Brooks in April of 1922, the loco was the first 4-8-2 mountain type ordered by UP. The UP roster would eventually hold 65 Alco-Brooks built 4-8-2's. The loco was retired in February of 1954. Jack A. Pfeifer photo |
