| From the rear door window of the Zephyr somewhere in Nevada looking east. I dub this scene: COMMUNICATIONS. Two sets of telegraph poles carrying over a dozen apparently in service pairs plus a UHF / microwave antenna on the short tower beside the shelter. I suspect the radio link will eclipse the wire web in the not distant future. The scene is topped off with both an east and a west aspect signal. The rock warning/mitigation fence is a very nice touch too. Oh and then theres the track, my favorite... /DL |
