CN FP9A #6504         
This is a beautiful Canadian National publicity photo of CN FP9A #6504 heading up a long string of varnish through the mountains near Jasper, Alberta, Canada. Built by EMD in November of 1954 (sn A634), the loco served mostly passenger service until retirement on March 31, 1978. It was then transferred to VIA roster. Later it was sold by VIA on February 23, 1995 to Independent Locomotive Sales, Bethel MN. Kansas City Southern purchased it in August 1995 for business car fleet renumbered KCS 2 and named "Shreveport". No photographer or date listed for this fine photo.
