| Southern Pacific (Texas & New Orleans) M-4 class 2-6-0 number second 438 was stored at AVONDALE YARD, across the Mississippi River from New Orleans, on 24 April 1954. The locomotive had been built by Cooke (2546) in June 1900 as the 968, was renumbered 428 in 1901, then second 438 on 30 August 1950 and was sold for scrap to Commercial Metals in Houston on 30 September 1955. |
