PRR 5489, K-4S, c. 1946         
Coal Power. Here is a duplicate 35mm B&W slide of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #5489, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during December of 1927 and retired in July of 1948 after 21 years of faithful service. The sign on the smokebox indicates that it's the "Spirit of St. Louis." The photograhper's name, the date, and the location are not recorded.
