Partial Caption: "Here is the first Pennsylvania Railroad Class Q-2 4-4-6-4 steam freight locomotive, of which 25 more are now being built at company shops in Altoona." Shown here is PRR engine #6131, a Q-2 (4-4-6-4) built in Juniata during August of 1944 and retired in January of 1952 after just eight years of revenue service. |
