If it ain't containers, it'll be tankers...Unit tank car trains vie with container trains as the most likely to be seen in the Tokyo area. Acting on a tip from a quick web search, I rode out to Fuchu Hon-Machi station {'Mid State' (Prefecture) Old-Town} looking for some freight to photograph and what sight greets me as i get off the train?!!! -This splendid tanker train of gas cans waiting for the clear...This shiny example is a 'taki' class whalebelly tanker. ENEOS is one of Japan's major gas station chains. |
