CN local passes the former C&NW depot as it heads northeast toward Kaukauna Industrial Park No.1 on 30 Mar. '14. It dropped most of its train on the mainline just west of Gertrude St. so it could go spot a covered hopper at Schuh Transport, Inc. Then it would return here, pick up its train, and continue on to service Thilmany Pulp and Paper Co. mill. Designed in the Art Moderne style and built in 1947, it originally had a flat roof. The current gabled roof was added at some point after 1983. |
