CBCX 565         
VANCOUVER WA Feb 19 2011 -- CBCX SSB 1200 565 shows off its shiny new paint job. It is tied down at Columbia Business Center west of theinterchange track. The elevated BNSF mains are in the background. The 565 is operated by Columbia Business Center and interchanges with BNSF. The unit began life as EMC NW 2350 (order E173, serial 725) in September 1937. It was later renumbered 2400. EMD rebuilt the unit (order no. 7573. builder no. 25224) in June 1959 as SW1200 2439 and delivered it to Santa Fe in zebra stripe paint. After being retired Nov 28 1973 Santa Fe’s San Bernardino shops rebuilt into an SSB1200, renumbered 1239 and painted it Santa Fe blue with yellow warbonnet on Feb 8 1974. It was retired a second time by Santa Fe and made its way to Amtrak as AMTK 565 in black and silver on Aug 31 1984. From there in found its way to Columbia Business Center as CBCX 565 still in black and silver. It was repainted orange and black in lated 2009 or early 2010.
