An EMD GP38-2 doing some yard work, as it has been for a few weeks around here. This is a great-sounding engine, so much different from the newer GE stuff running around. This was built as PC 8050 in February 1973 and then later became Conrail 8050. The scene is the CSX yard in Connellsville, on the western end. The temperature here was a brisk 15 degrees. |
