| The roster number of this suggests it worked on the Springfield Terminal Railway, a 6-mile shortline connection from Springfield, Vermont, to Charlestown, New Hampshire. Freight service discontinued in 1984. Since this sits in a former WM/C&O yard, it is possible that Chessie System later owned and used this. It even has the Chessie yellow.
