Cumberland WMR Station (2)  Contributor's Pick!
This grand brick railroad station was built by the Western Maryland Railway in 1913 and renovated in the 1980s to house the Canal Place Preservation Authority and the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad. This railroad offers steam and diesel-powered trips during a May through December season, from Cumberland to Frostburg, Maryland. They also do special chartered photographic runs, which was the case on this day. The red caboose is a Clinchfield Railroad #1072.
