CN local services Graymont via former C&NW rails at Green Bay, WI on 18 Feb. '17. Formerly Western Lime Corp., this facility has been here since at least 1910 and produces high calcium pebble and hydrated lime. The Canadian company Graymont Ltd. acquired Western Lime Corp. ca. 30 Mar. '12. Some references refer to this facility as Graymont Western Lime. The Western Lime and Cement Co. merged with the Nast Bros. Lime & Stone Co., Union Lime Co., and Empire Lime Co. in 1921. They continued to operate as the Western Lime and Cement Co. until the name was changed to Western Lime Corp. at some point. |
