Looks like the loco has reached the end of its days as it sits in the Bensenville, IL, yard waiting for the scrapper's torch. Built by the Milwaukee Road Shops in December 1908, this class K1 Prairie-style locomotive would be renumbered from 2095 to 5595 in 1912 and to 943 in 1938. Max Miller caught up with this loco sitting in what appears to be a deadline since its windows are boarded up and a group of tenders only sit behind it. |
