Shown here is engine #10, a D-12A (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops for the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad during April of 1890, renumbered as Pennsylvania Railroad "6010" in March of 1904, rebuilt as a D-13C, and sold to Julius Caplan in August of 1923 after 33 years of faithful service.

Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6013, a D-13C (4-4-0) "American" built in the Altoona Machine Shops as number "1329" during August of 1889, sold to the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad and renumbered "13" in December of 1897, renumbered PRR "6013" in 1903, rebuilt as a D-13A in May of 1904, renumbered "06013" in June of 1918, renumbered "6013" in February of 1921, and sold to Luria Brothers in June of 1921 after 32 years of faithful service.

Description:  Here is a postal card entitled "New York-Chicago Flyer.'" No Postmark. Front Caption: "The P.R.R. New York-Chicago Flyer. (The 18-hour train)." Nonetheless, the lettering on the Combine indicates that this is actually "The Pennsylvania Special." It's powered by Pennsylvania Railroad engine #6018, a D-16B (4-4-0) "American" built in Juniata as number "5201" during August of 1907, sent to the West Jersey & Seashore Railroad and renumbered "6018" in July of 1917, and retired in July of 1927 after 20 years of faithful service. The photographer's name, the exact date, and the location are not recorded.

Bottom Photo Caption: Ordered at the turn of the century to compete with Reading's famous Camelbacks, this baby had a combination Belpaire and Wootten firebox. Pennsy had only three, sold them to the Long Island." PRR engine #700 is an E-1 (4-4-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata during 1899, sold to the Long Island Rail Road in December of 1903, and retired in 1911.
