Homeward bound
Title:  Homeward bound
Description:  An Oyster Bay train makes its stop at Albertson, one of the more obscure stations on the railroad. It was a blacktop platform just north of I U Willets Rd with no facilities. Note the red stripe on the first car, indicating it's a parlor. In this case, it's a subscription car, and not open to the general public, as on the Montauk trains.

Description:  The late night Oyster Bay train makes its station stop at Mineola, and is looking at the restricting signal it will accept to take the switch to head up the branch. It will be held to 15 MPH through the turnout, then get a clear signal at the next automatic, just the other side of 2nd Street, to head up the branch.

MP 15 leading
Title:  MP 15 leading
Description:  Oyster Bay trains in the off hours tended to have light ridership. This resulted in them having short consists, and often had MP 15s for power, rather than the GP 38s that most of the other lines saw for power. An Oyster Bay train is rolling east at New Hyde Park as it makes its way to its next stop in Mineola.

Rounding the bend
Title:  Rounding the bend
Description:  An eastbound Oyster Bay train comes around the curve at Nassau, the tower to the right of the last car, having left the Main Line after making its Mineola stop. It will make all stops to Oyster Bay, save for Mill Neck. An MP 15 and two cars was not uncommon for a train that will work most of the off peak mid day hours at that time. View is from a westbound trains FA power pack.

Oyster Bay train east
Title:  Oyster Bay train east
Description:  A train bound for Oyster Bay rolls east through Queens Village. Oyster Bay trains tended to be short, since some of their stations were convenient to others on the Port Washington Branch, or to Mineola with a short drive, so patronage was lighter than other branches.

RF 7
Title:  RF 7
Description:  RF 7 was a daytime train that was a maid of all work on the west end. It started at Fresh Pond, taking cars to Yard A at Sunnyside, then worked out to the Island, most typically on the Atlantic Branch and the near south shore, but could also work the Main Line, such as it is doing here at Mineola with a short train. Usually it got a pair of C 420's; today's edition has a single MP 15.
