Caltrans 2123 sits on track 9 at San Jose Diridon. Track 9, the farthest from the station building, is not used often for passenger service, and this area at the south end throat tracks is often used to store Capitol Corridor equipment between runs. This is the case with 2123. When needed, the set of equipment will relocate to a track closer to the station, board passengers, and depart for Sacramento. |
