Myers. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by William J. Myers that was taken in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, c. 1967. Photo Caption: "E-44 Class No. 4411 on Susquehanna River Bridge at Harrisburg, Pa." PRR engine #4411 is an E-44 (C-C) electric built by General Electric during May of 1961 and rated at 4,400 horsepower. The number of the N-5C cabin car is not recorded. In this context, they're heading toward Harrisburg (to the left) from Lemoyne (on the right), while the Susquehanna is flowing from right to left on its merry way to the Chesapeake Bay and the Atlantic Ocean. This photo comes from a color slide set entitled "Electrified Operations On The Pennsy" that's produced and distributed by Blackhawk Films of Davenport, Iowa (791-9). |
