Electric Action. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide that was taken in Columbia, Pennsylvania, c. 1962. Passing COLA Tower (L to R) are Pennsylvania Railroad engine #4416 and another "Brick" whose road number is not recorded. Both are E-44's (C-C) built by General Electric and rated at 4,400 horsepower each. #4416 was built in August of 1961. The photographer's name and the exact date are not recorded. Produced and distributed by FJC Products of Newport, Delaware. |

Both are E-44's built by General Electric; #4427 was built in 1962, but #4416 was built in 1961. They are pulling a 116-car northbound mixed-cargo freight train with caboose #477600. The time is 4:13 P.M. (The highway bridge is marked "SR 31703.") |
