LE&FW 0-6-0 1, ex-WAB 0-6-0 534

Having worked as a switcher from 1906 until being retired as a display in Swinney park in 1957 and then donated to the Fort Wayne RR Historical Society in 1984, it has been through quite a bit.

LE&FW 0-6-0 1, ex-WAB 0-6-0 534
Description:
The rear of the boiler housing with the cab removed shows more extensive weathering as a result of its neglect as a display piece than do other parts of the switcher.

Title:
LE&FW 0-6-0 1, ex-WAB 0-6-0 534 Tender Shell
Description:
Sitting outside on an Illinois Terminal flatcar is the Lake Erie & Fort Wayne tender shell. Hopefully it can be restored along with its steam engine to its right place as an historic piece of railroading. A difficult project but hopefully it will be done if the FWHS thinks it is possible. They should know - they brought back NKP 765 to life!
