Album Info:I was employed as engineer at the U.S.Rail Smart Paper operation from 2007 until the mill closed in 2012. As a child in the 70s I got my first cab ride here. This year I ran the last train out of the plant. This is the good, the bad, and the ugly, and everything in between.

Description:  2 or 3 days after itd been shoved out into no mans land, the 1 is showing signs of being picked apart by scavengers. The coupler was removed to be replaced before it was put out here.

Description:  With the 1 and 115 shoved to the clearence mark, the rail removal progresses to where they sit. CSX owns the track just past where they are and with no other customers on this line, its doubtful theyll do anything with it other than tear out their own rails.

Description:  FLSX 1 with Trains Never Die painted on it now. Sometime between 10/4 and 10/14 CSX slipped in and got the 115. The 1 was left by itself, presumably because its missing a coupler among other things that would allow it to be moved.

Description:  With new tags added and the stacks and other internal parts removed by local pickers, this old NW2 gets a little lighter. Crossings leading to it are all now marked 'exempt' telling that this machine isn't going anywhere.
