| Description: |
DL 3560, ex Ontario Northland 3560, exx CN 3560 exxx CN 2560 and NYSW 3024 is on WS-2 in Ridgefield Park, NJ 10/6/2024. CN continued to buy new locomotives until the 1980s. The 3560 was built in September of 1976. The M420W would be superceeded in 1980 by the HR412 when Bombardier took over MLW completely. The HR stood for High Reliability which the Alco designs were not. The 3560 rides on MLW supplied Dofasco ZWT, zero weight transfer trucks. Odd how the Dofasco trucks look very similar to GEs floating bolster trucks. |
